Hello Nuvi phone

A jawdropping announcement today in N.Y. from Garmin introduced us to the gorgeous nuvifone, a full-fledged GSM HSDPA smartphone that includes it's own built in os with GPS navigation with web browsing capabilities and a camera. There haven't been any official pricing or carrier announcements yet. Experts are hinting that AT&T may be a nice fit given their tech capabilites. T-Mobile may also be on the radar in the future with their soon-to-be-announced HSDPA upgrade to the network.

• Google local search
• Garmin Online services - traffic, weather, fuel prices, hotel discounts, etc.
• nuvi-like navigation on the road or in pedestrian mode
• Email, text, IM functions
• Camera, video camera, MP3 and MPEG4/AAC

The company is aiming to expand in the near future and says that while the PND market isn't dying, the cellphone is clearly a ripe opportunity. Maybe so, well we this baby looks like it has alot of promise! Hey Garmin how about a free Nuviphone? 'Til next time fiends!
