A New Low
I thought the New York Times and Mike Daisey were bad, but CNET is just openly trolling Apple at this point. Jay Greene looks like he is ready for a job with Fox News after this gem and this one, in which Apple or iPhone is mentioned twenty-eight times, with a passing mention of other tech companies, but not their products (and certainly no mention of Lumias or other Microsoft-related devices).
That would be bad enough, but this story, in which Greene states “The iPhone, like all smartphones, has hazardous chemicals inside that need to be disposed of properly,” is just one of FIVE that “Senior Writer” Jay Greene has on CNET today taking Apple to task for the rest of the industry.
To be fair, Greene DOES mention the fact that Foxconn employees putting together Apple products make more than anyone else in that line of work in China, but the way he bulldozes over that displays a disregard for anything that would cast Apple in a positive light. Classless job, Jay.
